Studio MRO Identity Development


Overview

Studio MRO is a brand experience design studio that aims to achieve consistent communication for brands. We strive to visually convey the client's brand and bring out the values that the brand wants to communicate more clearly.

Naming

MRO encompasses the company's objectives and carries meaning in each element. "Mist" symbolizes an ambiguous yet serene image, while "Radiant" represents a bright and dazzling image. Additionally, "Original" emphasizes originality and creativity. Furthermore, each meaning is accompanied by the brand's desired colors.








Logo

We hope that MRO's colors do not overshadow the client's brand. We believe that the design should reflect the unique identity of the client's brand itself. That's why we strive to be neutral.

For the logo, we aimed to capture our neutral identity and express the intersection of sans-serif and serif. The strokes transitioning from sans-serif to serif resembled the film being pulled out of a cassette tape, and we incorporated that into the logo.

Furthermore, the tape represents a junction between the past analog and the digital, and it is an item that holds memories. It felt like an object that could resonate with and encompass multiple generations.







Color

In terms of naming, we briefly introduced it, but we chose neutral colors of black and white instead of specific colors. This was done to reflect our philosophy and express MRO's identity through translucent materials.









Application


To symbolize the purpose of MRO's establishment, we designed corporate applications. We aimed to incorporate our identity into the applications by using transparent materials as much as possible.

As part of an extended corporate design project, we designed a lucky box (gift box) instead of a traditional company brochure. Since we are starting a new company, we wanted to make a memorable first impression. Rather than solely delivering a company brochure as a means of introduction, we chose to present a lucky box (gift box) that encapsulates our identity alongside the company brochure.

This approach allows us to better convey our company, which cannot be fully expressed through words alone, and provides an intriguing experience to leave a lasting impression.
