A little nod to motherhood and how precious our childhood must be taken.

With this piece, I tried to imagine how it must feel, as a mother; to have the responsability over a small life. A life whom neither is continuation of yours nor a complete stranger. A life you created, but will end up as person of it's own.
How you should protect it with all your heart, love boundlessly a creature you might still not know fully who they are.
Different versions, on the left: A serene blue background and on the right a fiery purple-orange background.
I used a mixture of watercolor and color pencils, in order to create smooth bases and textured details. This was a very enjoyable process and made me very proud of my dedication.
