As the lead designer for Dutch Caribbean Coastguard, I oversaw the design team and created the program's visual identity, incorporating the character of the coastguard into the design. Over the course of several weeks, my team and I worked on creating a cohesive brand identity, and I created a comprehensive set of After Effects templates to ensure consistency across all visual elements. I'm incredibly proud of the final outcome, and the company (The Walt Disney Company) is thrilled with how the design reflects the essence of the coastguard.
This is the opening sequence for the Coast Guard series, designed to showcase the diversity of their work. Our goal was to provide a glimpse into the many different roles and tasks undertaken by the Coast Guard, highlighting the range of responsibilities that come with protecting our coastlines.
These are employee passports for the Coast Guard, which allow us to personalize the program by introducing the people behind the scenes to the viewers. By showcasing the individuals who make the show possible, we create a deeper connection with our audience and help to humanize the program.
The wipe transition was used to indicate a change in location to a different island
We created technical maps for the weapons and vehicles featured in the show to provide a better understanding for viewers. These maps offered a detailed look at the inner workings of each piece of equipment, helping to enhance the overall viewing experience.
We have created many more beautiful designs for this series, but the above examples provide a good representation of the overall package. Below are a few additional screenshots that showcase some of our other design work for the series.
