Evolution Business Park Identity

Kharkiv is a great city with rich history, lively energy, beautiful parks, and diverse architecture that spans from classicism to art deco. Sadly, historic buildings are being demolished and replaced with concrete structures yearly.

We got lucky to meet two investors, who bought an old factory in the city center, decided to revitalize it, turn it into a business park, and asked us for help. Our team had to find the most suitable name and create a brand identity for the project 😎
One meeting on the project site made it clear that this would be a unique project for the city, with the client aiming to preserve everything that could be revitalized. During the tour, we saw pre-war rafters assembled without nails, antique marble stairs, and painted floor tiles, and we admired the basement vaults and stairwell openings. Each future project drawing showed a love for the city, a delicate attitude toward its history, and a desire to create a people-centered business space.

The new business park concept is a fusion of the past and future, considering the historical significance of the buildings and the entire neighborhood while utilizing modern construction techniques. All that's left is to find the most fitting word to describe this synthesis.

This name better reflected the client's intentions and the value proposition of the business park. Evolution represents a natural process of development for all living things and serves as the most eco-friendly process for transforming ecosystems and the biosphere as a whole. The concept of evolution also encapsulates the idea of development for both nature and society.

Visual Identity

The Evolution Business Park was constructed to focus on revitalization, which has breathed new life into historical buildings, the surrounding neighborhood, and the business space. We've decided to bring new energy into the graphic style to convey the park's concept in its visual identity.

Although Kharkiv carries many architectural styles, constructivism is undoubtedly the city's defining feature. One of the most prominent constructivist artists, Vasyl Ermilov, lived just a few blocks from the Evolution in the masonry of building No. 33 on Poltavskiy Shlyah Street. As a neighborhood resident, Ermilov was consistently exposed to the city's distinctive character, inspiring him to create his masterpieces.
We reinterpreted the historical style of the graphics for Evolution Business Park by analyzing the artist's works, identifying key elements, and making them part of a new visual language.
