Chester Modular Collection
Background
A project done at Puik Concepts for Puik Design. This project includes the design and development process of the new Chester Collection. The collection is upholstered with the fabrics of Byborre. The project includes renders and animations that were used for marketing purposes.
Concepting
With Blender I was able to reproduce the current Chester Sofa, Chair and Hocker and I rapidly created 3D concepts that I could communicate with the team. We set up a grid which we placed different concepts and defined dimensions to fit the modular goal of the collection. We sketched out different options and decided on the concepts.

Puik x Byborre
Byborre is a company that specializes in creating custom-made fabrics. Puik sought out a collaboration to be used, not only with the new Modular Chester collection but also with different Puik Design furniture. However, the Modular Chester Collection is used in a Byborre event that celebrates the launch and uses the office of Byborre as a showroom. The fabrics were sent as samples and we also received digital samples that were used to produce renders for marketing, sales, and communication purposes as seen below.

Showroom
I have been responsible for updating the entire Puik Design collection in 3D to the correct standards and file types (SKP, OBJ, STEP, etc...) as well as managing the texturing and materials. Moreover, I manage the 3D warehouse (Sketchup) and have successfully updated the full collection.
For the Byborre event, I reproduced the office environment wit the use of the building blueprints, which you can see below.
With the environment set, I designed the interior space and created the still-to-be produced Modular Chester Collection set up in the space. Together with marketing, we then picked the right fabrics for the setup and started with production.

Production
I oversaw the production of the collection by providing the technical drawings and specifications as well as communication with the team in Poland and the production company. The fabric selection was communicated through documentation and sent to the upholster company as well as the Byborre team.
Visuals
For marketing purposes, 3D renders were produced, as well as a 3D animation. To produce the content I worked on creating realistic 3D models in Blender as well as creating the different fabrics in the digital space. I also created a simple interior environment together with a light setup to accommodate the Modular Collection that was used for the animation. Other environments were also created for the different scenes that I used for renders.
Animation
The full animation was rendered in Blender and used for marketing purposes. After Effects was used to edit the video and render the final video.
Puik x Byborre
The full Puik Design furniture collection was eventually combined with the fabrics from Byborre and showcased in the showroom at the Byborre office.
