The graphic style itself (colours, logos) is based on the new symbols of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which have a clear historical background. It incorporates the best international practices of designing military symbols and is universal for any military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The central element of the entire visual style is the military Trident. It has a clear historical basis: the armband trident of the Ukrainian People's Republic Army, which is still used in military uniforms.
Унікальний шрифт, розроблений українським шрифторобом Дмитром Растворцевим, уособлює найкращі українські шрифтові традиції, військовий стиль та задовольняє усі потреби Збройних Сил України. Наявне також накреслення для неймтейпів та для техніки.

Церемонійний шрифт ЗСУ — Volja. Його розробила українська шрифтотвориця Марчела Можина на основі типографії відомого українського графіка часів національно-визвольних змагань Ніла Хасевича. Його використовують для оформлення почесних грамот, подяк, посвідчень до нагород, нагородних листів тощо. Також допускається використання цього шрифта для нанесення на нагороди та бойові (почесні) прапори військових частин ЗСУ.

The ceremonial font of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is Volja. It was designed by Ukrainian type designer Marchela Mozhyna based on the typography Nil Khasevych, a famous Ukrainian graphic artist of the period of the Ukrainian War of Independence (1942-1953). It is used to design honourary diplomas, acknowledgements, award certificates, award letters, etc. It is also permitted to use this font for marking awards and combat (honorary) flags of military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
