Capturing the Beauty of Tenerife with a Vintage Camera

As a nomadic artist, I've been lucky enough to spend a lot of time exploring the Mediterranean, and Tenerife is one of my favourite destinations. It's a place where the volcanic mountains meet the Atlantic Ocean, and where the rugged coastline gives way to lush forests and rolling hills.
To capture the essence of this special place, I took out my trusty Olympus OM-10 film camera, complete with a 50mm Zuiko lens, loaded with an X-rayed Fujicolor C200 film roll. This camera is over 40 years old, but it still produces some of the most stunning and unique images I've ever seen.
As I wandered through the island's villages and natural landscapes, I was struck by the way the camera captured the beauty of the island. The images had a timeless yet nostalgic quality that only film can provide.
One of my favourite shots is a photo of an old man and his dog resting during sunset, with the ocean stretching out in the distance. The colours are warm and earthy, with the pale blue of the sea blending perfectly with the green and golden tones of the landscape.
Overall, my time in Tenerife was a reminder of the beauty and power of the natural world, and of the importance of slowing down and taking the time to appreciate it, even in the mundane everydays. Through my film photographs, I hope to share some of that beauty, and to inspire others to explore and appreciate the unique landscapes and cultures that make our world so rich and diverse.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my adventures in Tenerife. If you're interested in seeing more of my film (and digital) photography, be sure to check out my other posts, my portfolio or follow me on social media.
