Mark&Cleo • Artisan Chocolate
Mark&Cleo is a new chocolatier in Mersin, Turkey. We collaborated with its founders from the very beginning and worked on positioning, naming and branding of this special shop.
We took inspiration from the rich historical background of Mersin and Tarsus which was the meeting place of Marcus Antonius, a renowned Roman general, and Cleopatra, the last queen of Egypt.
Aware of the undying link between love and chocolate and inspired by the couple’s deep and tragic love, we named the shop after them. The logo was designed to be classic-modern and so was the rest of the packaging.
Very talented Kursat Unsal illustrated the emblem as well as various icons based on Roman and Egyptian symbols mixed with various heart icons.
The project succeeded in positioning the new brand as one of the most premium chocolate brands in the area and created instant recognition for the customers.
