One of my personal favorite TR Cutting techniques is layering. Similar to pleating but with curved shapes is layering. Because we can't fold curved shapes, one must separate the pieces first. Each layer has a facing underneath it, and the next layer begins at the base of the facing from the layer before it. A spiral of curving layers covers the front of the bodice. The layers function somewhat like style lines, which causes the darts to be absorbed.
