The 7 sacred trees of Iyá Mi Oxorongá

| The 7 sacred trees of Iyá Mi Oxorongá |
The Iyá Mi Oxorongá are the so-called ancestral mothers of the Yoruba people. They are called Ajé (witches) or Eleyé (ladies of the birds) and are holders and conductors of Axé (supernatural vital energy). Being the oldest in all of creation, they are represented by the ibis bird and can bring luck or misfortune, depending on what they desire. They have 7 sacred trees, and they rest and repose in each one. In this project, I will illustrate the Yoruba sayings that hold the secret of each of these mother birds.
Story 1 | The sacred Orobô tree (Garcinia kola Heckel)
Ajé chooses Orobo to rest, and when it lands, (...)
i(...) if one thinks of someone, they will have happiness, be just, and have a long life."
