This project was made to advertise an online video calling service. The main idea

of the project was about the lives of people behind a laptop camera. The client requested a bright and attention-grabbing project with surreal elements.

I decided to make the whole project in the form of one large illustration, where interface elements are embedded inside drawing. I believe, that this approach gives an unusual user experience and a more involvement in the project.

There are few different types of buttons in this project, some of them are unified,

and some are unique and illustrative in order to organically integrate into the universe

of the project.

Initially, all illustrations were drawn as sketches in Procreate, and then transferred to a vector format, optimized for the web. Here you can see the process:

The whole project contains a lot of animation and interactivity. They are literally on every screen and the project feels really alive. Animations react to users' clicks and thereby involve them more strongly.

All animations are made in Lottie, they do not overload the project at all and preserve the mood of the project.  You can see more animations from this project, as well as some others, at the link in my Lottie profile.

There was also the first version of the project, which was ready for development,

but it was abandoned.
