BAE Electronica is a record label and agency founded by South Africa’s doyen of African electronica, influential house music vocalist, Jackie Queens. In just a few short years the label’s critically acclaimed releases have achieved success through licensing agreements with Black Coffee’s Soulistic Music, Get Physical and scored nominations in the 2018 South African Music Awards (SAMA) and Dance Muisc South Africa Awards.
Set up as an outlet for her own work, Bae Electronica is also home to the Women of House (WOH) project. Created to amplify and celebrate the contribution of women to house music, the WOH initiatives facilitate the visibility of women artists, their participation in the dance music economy and the discussion of issues that affect women artists in the industry.
