Yearning for Freedom (2018)
Yearning for Freedom is a work that focuses on themes such as fear, oppression, threat, and manipulation. What inspired me to create this drawing is my personal experience with oppression. I recently started to break some of the rules, and regardless of how simple and small the act is, it filled me with happiness, confidence, and more importantly, I felt the freedom that I have always been yearning for, however, the happiness and the small amount of freedom I have never lasts because it is always accompanied with fear.
