A Braai African Burger House foi uma hamburgueria artesanal com cultura, culinária e temática africana no Rio de Janeiro. A proposta dos irmãos-sócios era divulgar mais sobre a cultura africana e, também, criar hambúrgueres exclusivos preparados com iguarias especialmente oriundas dos diversos países africanos. Com um forte papel social de falar sobre causas como racismo, xenofobia e segregação, a Braai tinha mais que um propósito de restaurante, mas de ser uma empresa de informação e entretenimento.

Braai African Burger House was an artisanal burger joint with an African culture, cuisine, and theme in Rio de Janeiro. The proposal of the sibling co-owners was to promote more awareness of African culture while creating unique burgers prepared with delicacies sourced from various African countries. With a strong social role in addressing issues such as racism, xenophobia, and segregation, Braai aimed to be more than just a restaurant but also an information and entertainment company.

Nosso projeto era recriar a marca já existente, modernizando o design e criando uma nova identidade visual. Alegre, amigável e culturalmente assertivo, foi desafiador pensar em somente uma identidade que conseguisse agregar culturas tão distintas em um continente tão rico e peculiar. Usamos cores presentes em grande parte das bandeiras dos países e para o pattern, o que melhor poderia representar as culturas tribais e indígenas da África.
Como um projeto completo, criamos também todo o material gráfico impresso solicitado (panfletos, cartão fidelidade, embalagens) e material digital (cardápio digital e criativos para redes sociais e anúncios).

Our project was to recreate the existing brand, modernize the design, and create a new visual identity. It was challenging to create a single identity that could encompass such distinct cultures in such a rich and peculiar continent. The goal was to make it joyful, friendly, and culturally assertive.
We used colors that are present in many of the flags of African countries, and for the pattern, we chose elements that best represent the tribal and indigenous cultures of Africa.
As a complete project, we also created all the requested printed materials (flyers, loyalty cards, packaging) and digital materials (digital menu and creatives for social media and advertisements).
