ORIGIN
Pick-A-Pet is a service we created with the intention of improving the lives of novice pet owners and their pets. We strongly believe pets make a positive impact on your life and want to help ensure you can find trusted pet shelters, and find a pet that fits both your personality and living situation.
STRATEGY
We wanted to create a project for our personal technical growth as well as creating some passive income. Through affiliate marketing with Amazon, we wanted to create a low maintenance product that would take a few months to put together. Together with our developer (Cas), UX designer (Mischa) and visual designer (Zenna), we created a product roadmap and plan of attack in Q2 of 2021.
RESULTS
By the end of 2022, we created a basic proof of concept with a working database and pet quiz focusing on dogs. On the design side we’ve briefly tackled the persona through interviews, and laid out the product/feature roadmap that we believed was doable in the timeline we gave ourselves (4 months). We’ve also created the designs below. However, as we have passed our deadline and re-analysed the business, Pick-A-Pet has been put on hold while we pick up our next project.
