Oppo F3 Review - Design, Performance, and Camera
The Oppo F3 is a mid-range smartphone that has a premium look. It features a glossy, 2.5D curved glass display with an f/2.4 aperture. But the images taken by the OPPO F3's camera are not as sharp and detail-rich as they are on the F3 Plus.

The primary camera on the Oppo F3 is a 16-megapixel sensor. However, the secondary camera is only an 8-megapixel unit. While the secondary camera has a wider field of view, it introduces barrel distortion. This means that a lot of the images on the F3 tend to be noisy.

Unlike the F3 Plus, the F3 has a smaller 5.5-inch full HD display. Though the OPPO F3's screen isn't particularly large, it strikes a good balance between usability and battery life.
The OPPO F3 comes with a 3200mAh battery, which is adequate for a single-day user. The VOOC fast charging technology allows you to charge completely discharged batteries to 60 percent in as little as 30 minutes.

The OPPO F3 comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the front. This sensor has a hydrophobic membrane and a high success rate. In addition, the OPPO F3 can be used as a security system.

OPPO's custom UI, ColorOS, is rich in software features. These include a lockscreen magazine, on-screen gestures, O-Cloud backup, a security app, and a dedicated app store. And while its UI isn't as refined as Android or iOS, it does offer butter smooth performance.

On the hardware front, the Oppo F3 features a mediocre SoC with 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor. The chip also has a Mali T860MP2 GPU. There's also a fingerprint scanner at the back of the device, but it's embedded into the physical home button. OPPO's dual camera setup is unique. Both cameras have a wide-angle lens, and the second can take photos in RAW file format.

Among other features, the OPPO F3 has a 3.5mm audio jack, an LED flash, and an earpiece. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the company's own Color OS 3.0 skin. Aside from the Google suite of applications, the F3 ships with Facebook, Instagram, and WPS Office.

You can also use the Security app to wipe RAM and fend off malware.

Despite its relatively light weight and unibody construction, the Oppo F3 feels surprisingly sturdy in the hand. As is the case with other OPPO devices, the F3 is a great choice for selfie-lovers.

Oppo's dual camera is good for taking pictures in bright light. However, it's not as great in low-light situations. To overcome this, the company has included an Expert mode. For best results, you can also switch to manual focus.

Other features of the Oppo F3 include a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a dual-SIM card tray.

OPPO's design is a mixture of traditional Chinese smartphones and a modern, iPhone-like layout. Although the OPPO F3's design looks more like a handful of Chinese phones, the handset's premium build quality makes it stand out.
