Monoline icon set created for SPARC (Supporting Pastoralism and Agriculture in Recurrent and Protracted Crises), an organisation that aims to generate evidence and address knowledge gaps to build the resilience of millions of pastoralists, agro-pastoralists and farmers in communities in sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.

Reporting on climate change and other crises in the Global South is important work, but typical iconography made for reports and other documents is often created through an Americentric or Eurocentric lens. For example, stock iconography for "crops" or "farming" often includes simplified images of wheat, while in many regions the dominant crop could be maize, rice or sorghum.

It was a privilege to create these icons, which feature small but crucial localised details that support the core of SPARC's incredible research.
