When we started this project with a broadband provider we had a rough guideline to our hand but we had a lot of freedom finding a own style for this short animation. The brand on it's own has the identity of being a climate-friendly rebel in it's branche. The project scope was rather small and the aim of the campaing was to reach out for established customers of the brand and motivate them to bring more of them friends and fellows into the brand's reach. The design choices were made on two bases: Small budget, therefore finding ways to quickly create background elements and living up to stereotypes in a satirical way, therefore exaggerate the characters and situations the scenes are based on.
While being nice screen designs, we didn't feel like that we really nailed the nail here. Therefore we took this character, pushed his design over the edge and designed the rest of the characters.
The gardener plays music to his plants, the tree hugger is on a friday for future demo, the grandma with her cat sitting on the couch with a lace doily
The result is a visually appealing animation with funny characters and a simple story!
