In the Up with People Global Education Program, a cast of more than 100 people from over 20 different countries visit many cities on a World Tour. Usually, they set up Culture Fairs to share their cultures to the public.
For the cast members to present a more professional and prepared material, and for the booths to look unified yet diverse, I designed these banners for each country that make a great visual support for their presentations. As visitors enter the Culture Fair, they will get a feeling of unity and brotherhood among nations, even though they are all amazingly different.
Up with People Culture Fairs are colorful and busy events.
The visual style I chose is very clean and balanced. It highlights each country's colors vividly while remaining simple to counter the powerful impact of the pictures. The banners are to be printed in a 160x60cm format, with an X-shaped stand. The cast members now can rely on handy information with a quick look thanks to the country data and fun facts the banners include.
On the Up with People show, these banners can be displayed in the Lobby of the venue while the audience waits to enter the house, they have complete information and don't need a presenter next to it for people to understand it.

The bottom ribbons encompass each country's identity with clear and powerful simplicity, the abbreviation was taken from internet domains.
The country name is shown in English, followed by the most common language(s) spoken there, then in Spanish, French or German and Japanese. Facts such as population, position on a world ranking of size, currency and type of government are displayed very graphically, as well as a map showing the country's location in the world and it's capital city.
There are full banners for 18 countries from America, Asia, Europe and Africa; including Bermuda, South Africa, Switzerland, Vietnam, Kenya, the USA, Japan, Canada, Iran, and Denmark, among others. All these countries are represented by people traveling as cast members of Up with People.
