Listening Notes
I started off by listening to the album over and over again to paint an idea of what visuals I wanted to represent in my final design. While doing this, I wrote down key words that and themes that popped up during my extensive listening sessions. There was very much a melancholic post-apocalyptic feel throughout with robotic vocals and repetitive sounds. The album felt like a lonely emptiness and lyrics throughout where touching on the themes of worthlessness and childhood. Although this was the case, there was still a playful aspect displayed in the album and I enjoyed the contrasting themes.
Sketches
I drew some sketches as a plan for the final designs. From my listening annotations, I used shapes, abstract/irregular details, childlike themes, repetition, and themes of loneliness. I decided to further work on squares 2, 3, and 5.
