Commemoration - Poetry Illustration
This is the last piece for the collection of four watercolor Illustrations I made for the poem Commemoration by the English poet Avouleance.
The poem tells a fictional story of the narrator's reflections about a commemoration sign for the appearance of a tiktaalik on a beach years before.
I always enjoy the process of creating book and poetry illustration, because even though the story is already given, I get to see how one can get different interpretations of the details and create a new world with/for the client.
