Russia, the Southern Urals, Chelyabinsk region. Four thousand years ago, a giant fortress stood here in the middle of the boundless steppes. It's older than the Babylonian kingdom and almost the same age as the Egyptian pyramids. The fortress was discovered in 1987 and became a sensation for historians all over the world.
The ancient walls hold the answer to the question: how did a male-dominated world come into being 4,000 years ago – a world the end of which we are still watching today? The name of this fortress is Arkaim.
