Loud Youth is a nonprofit e-magazine that seeks to empower peoples voice and story through the platform of creative media. “I Boldy Go.” was the March 2021 theme, its prompt was to interpret however you connect with the phrase. I wanted to promote the ideal of pursuing one’s dreams regardless of the fears and doubts that hold us back.
The art style in this piece is inspired by the Japanese animated film “Your Name” whilst the mood is influenced by the Angels & Airwaves “I-Empire” album. Having the shooting star as the focal point symbolises the importance of focusing on our goals no matter how far we may be from achieving them, and the rarity of having the opportunity to follow our wildest dream and thus the importance of taking the chance.
