ExPoC Video Collection
Expression of Colors / ExPoc is a collection of 250 unique illustrations in total by combining 97 different digital drawings in 9 different layers with an open-source code.
While all pieces of the collection are unique from each other, they consist of different variations of the same drawings. The emotional nature of the human being is reflected in different colors and various facial expressions. Although the layers consisting of background, eye color, pupil, a reflection of light, expression and accessories are similar, they reveal our social differences. There are 5 different video collages, horizontal and vertical, that I created from the combination of these 250 unique facial expressions, each in square format. While watching different facial expressions together in these videos, we see that each one changes and flows simultaneously. While these videos show our similarities and differences together, they reflect on our ever-changing moods. When we look at each expression as an individual, it tells us that we are a colorful whole together.
Completely digital creation process was applied with all its stages.
I made a total of 97 digital drawings in 9 layers with the iPad/Pro-create application. (background, middle background, expression, eye, eye color, pupil, light, accessory, hair detail) After editing these drawings with Adobe Photoshop, a total of 250 different works were randomly recreated with open-source code. I created 5 different video collages by combining these 250 works in After Effects.
The collection is also exhibited as NFT on Opensea.io.
