I've been running ThePensandthepen since early 2011. My main goal when I started it was to give the everyday fan, whether they live in Pittsburgh or far-flung locales throughout the world, the in-arena experience as though they were sitting right beside me at the arena. During my tenure as a season ticket holder I did my best to live stream the biggest moments and unseen tidbits that only those in attendance would experience.
I had one main rule, which I called the Jackie Moon (from the movie, Semi-Pro) rule; Everyone Love Everyone. Fans of all teams from anywhere in the world are welcome to join us as long as they respect the opinions of other members. We strongly believe that hockey is for everyone. While trash talking and hockey chirps are strongly encouraged, misogyny, homophobia, and aggressive language are prohibited. We are a family-friendly page for fans of all ages and all walks of life.
