ACTIVATE Stairwell Redesign for Workplace Health

ACTIVATE Workplace Health ConceptBook Design, Branding & Identity, Concept Development and Presentation
The ACTIVATE program concept inspires workplace fitness by encouraging office workers to take the stairs for cardiac health. Through aromatherapy, mood-enhancing light sources, and visually stimulating wall murals, the stairway is transformed into an attractive sensory experience that activates and reinvigorates one's mind and body.

This project also made national news in Canada, covered on CBC radio: CBC Maritime Noon excerpt.

The book design uses transparent overlays to convey quick and punchy information about the concept renderings, without detracting from the images. The visual and tactile effect ties in with the animated concept video by Brian Jeffcock (below) that uses pop-up comments.
Completed in Fall 2010 in collaboration with: Khadijah Baeisa (research and task support),
Katie Hall (product prototype), and Brian Jeffcock (3D rendering and animation)

Concept pitched with the support of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia (heartandstroke.ns.ca).
