This project challenged us as designers to create an extension of a memory, to design a mnemonic space. This design was quite challenging as I found it quite difficult to make a memory into a physical form. After a lot of drawings and thinking back I decided to focus it on a memory of being scared of the dark. The calm cave is an extension of a memory from when my sister and I were younger and we slept with the hallway light on, the calm cave is what I as a child imagined the light would feel like.
