Bodycoach.tv is my latest project. The intention was to create online gym website that will be distinctive from current competition in polish market (e.g. ewachodakowska.pl). I put emphasis on  appearance and accessibility from any device. I cut PSD to HTML5 & CSS3 and use Bootstrap to make sure that everything will work fine during resizing. The graphic design wasn’t easy to do that so I must use some CSS hacks :) Everything was adapted to ModX CMS.

 

I lead two programmers who write php code and use jquery framework. We implemented billing system (paying by credit cards, transfers and sms) with reminder of expiring subscriptions. There is a restricted section that can be only viewed by subscribers. In this section we used HTML5 web player under GPL license that shows movies with exercises (the main source of income). On linux server (we use own cloud) runs cron that converts movies to several formats (because of browsers requirements) :)

 

During design and implementation process I’ve focus on user experience (UX). Site knows how to react in many situations. When user use old browser or try to see page from mobile device he get planned reaction. Interaction with website is very friendly. User get information what this all is about, what he can do here and what he can get.
