When a person suffer or goes through a stressful event the most basic reflexes might manifest in their behaviour. Kids would start to suck a thumb, adults would crawl to a fetus position. A pacifier modelled after an old Soviet KGB hand of arms fulfils an infantile reflex to suck. As we know that the russian president is a former KGB officer we speculate that before falling asleep he is dwelling on the old days, trying to  bring them back by thoughtlessly sucking a symbol of the past. The work also leaves a comment to the political system in russia - infantile men fruitlessly reflecting on the good old days.
