Wedding Stationery
A set of stationery for my sister's wedding: including 'Save the Date' cards, invitations, envelopes, stickers and place cards for the special day!
I began by designing the 'Save the Date' cards, which were an A6 postcard sized flyer, using textured paper stock. The colour scheme was a soft cornflower blue, deep navy and ivory.
I chose to keep the layout quite simple, with central text and a fine rectangular border outline. The design was layered on top of line drawings of the flowers which were to be featured in the bride's bouquet: cornflowers, sweet peas and forget-me-nots.
We chose to mix an art deco inspired upper case font with a handwritten script across the designs, to add variety to the text.
Within the invitation there were details of the order of service, menu, and directions to the venue. I created a line drawing of Burgh House (the wedding venue) for the reverse of the invitation, as well as a map of the location for guests.
For the invitations, I also added one of the flower motifs to a DL envelope design. This was a nice way of personalising them without taking away the attention from the invitation itself.
To complement the envelope and invitations I added the bride and grooms' initials to round stickers on top of a sweet pea drawing, as the final finishing touch.
