Kaalpadukal is a contemporary virtual gallery as an ode to migrants and their footprints that lie scattered across the world. It's an AR-enabled digital experience combining the hidden stories of South India's villages and towns with the artwork of 17 digital artists.

Curated by Shafeena Yusuff Ali, a hotelier, retailer and art collector based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the exhibition's theme of migration resonates with the values that she was brought up in. It was a pleasure to showcase my work alongside other talented artists.

The Artwork
The Return is a satirical webcomic narrated in the form of a horror novel. Orchestrated by his father under the guise of a vacation, a young NRI malayali returns to his hometown Kerala due to tumultuous times in the Gulf. Georgekutty now finds himself struggling to adapt to the cultural shifts between countries as he returns to nosy neighbours, determined grandmothers & rocky roads.
