The Entombment is a collection that consists of 2 functional pieces made of solid ash wood.  It is characterized by the use of spherical elements and by the juxtaposition of heavy and light components, and the balance achieved between both, sometimes quite literally. Object 2 is a bookshelf and it's the first piece from the collection to be completed. Object 1 will be completed shortly.

Object 2 is the first design to be created by Hdden Forms, my newest project along with my associate Gabriel Canedo. 

Hdden Forms designs and produces objects in wood.  Using basic geometric shapes and a powerful combination of style, substance and functionality, we make pieces that are formally simple but complex in their fabrication. The name Hdden Forms comes from Michaelangelo’s famous words: “Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.”   We think the same of wood.
