About
My Artisan Kitchen food app design was a University User Centred Design project designed for IBM. The brief was to design and prototype a user-centred application that solves a problem in the food industry.
I created a smart home cooking app prototype that focuses on sustainability in
produce and packaging, and on reducing our food carbon footprint. Users are able to see the impact that their food choices have on the environment, and they can keep track of their monthly food carbon footprint. The app allows users to be familiar with their
food producers and suppliers, which give them peace of mind about where their
food comes from.
The app also has many personalisation features in order to suit most families’ unique needs and offer video tutorials to make cooking easier.
Carbon Design System was a website that I found very useful during the making of Artisan Kitchen app. It provided me with design tools and resources, as well as human interface guidelines. The website contains components and elements as well as wireframes and guidance to aid designers.
