Salve Italia is Italy’s answer to clean, handcrafted beauty. The brand offers essential skincare that perfectly encapsulates one’s routine with ingredients that are non-harsh and cruelty free. Each Salve Italia product is handcrafted in the shores of Italy.
The Challenge:
Salve Italia’s co-founder came to me with a task to design the boxes for all their four products. Prior to this project, they were using simple kraft boxes that gave no essence of the brand. Salve Italia as a brand itself is passionate, pure, and euphoric. the kind of non-complicated beauty that goes a long way.
The Solution:
Since Salve Italia had no existing packaging, we were really working on a blank canvas. The brand was presented with a few options - some simple, some represented colors for each box. Eventually, we went for something clean with a pure white packaging. But if we’re doing something this simple, I thought, we still have to make its customers feel something. I didn’t want to present a basic white box and call it a day. I was very specific on the kind of paper we wanted to use: an egg-shell textured paper and black embossing for that luxe, artisanal feel.
