Personal Project - MYX Labs

MYX Labs is an independent initiative by me to provide a set of useful web-based utilities to the Roblox gaming community "[MYS] Malaysia", of which I was a former senior developer.

I acted as both the developer and designer of this project, handling every aspect from the web application itself to the branding.
After some trial and error, I was recently able to get the progressive web application (PWA) published to the Google Play Store and Microsoft Store. I've learned a lot about the process, in particular the wording and monetisation policies that each app store enforces (resulting in quite a bit of rejections in the past).
The first utility is MECS (formerly MYS IEFE), short for Membership Eligibility Criteria System.
It allows users to analyse the account characteristics of any Roblox player by simply providing a username, providing a set of general results such as how long ago the account was created, how many friends does the player have, and more.
These factors are used to determine membership eligibility for the MYS group, and MECS will automatically calculate the required criteria based on the results.
Criteria checks specific to the MYS group include individual/group blacklists, as well as an optional one that verifies if the player owns the "HCC" purchasable gamepass.
The second feature is GenTag, and as the name suggests, it is a nametag generator. Formerly named Rocessorise, this project previously took the form of a Discord bot, but has since been re-developed as a web utility under MYX Labs.
Users can enter a 12-character length of text, as well as a nametag variant to generate a image file.
This image file is then uploaded to Roblox to be used as a "T-Shirt" accessory, typicially complementing the virtual uniforms of the MYS group.
New additions since the Discord bot include the ability to preview the nametag on top of the corresponding uniform, as well as the ability to add another T-Shirt layer from the Roblox catalog.
The most recent feature of MYX Labs is Growth, a continuation of the mys-growth project. Growth is a visualisation and trends analysis tool, looking at the membership changes of the MYS group over time. Data collection began in March 2020, but was interrupted between June 2021 and March 2022 due to a technical issue.
