Fraud Protection Video Animation
Worldline is a global leader in secure payments and trusted transactions. The company deals with digital fraud, and with the rising of e-commerce is an important tool for many of us. Their software uses a reliant, adaptive AI. A powerhouse "cure" for fraud, developed in partnership with Microsoft.
We were asked to create an emotional and resonant video to showcase their business model. The main challenge was to bring complex ideas into a visual, enticing video. We opted for stunning visuals and compelling storytelling. No voice-over, no characters. All emotion.
We use geometric forms — building-like — and the brand icons to represent the rise of e-commerce and businesses using online shopping. The geometric forms crumble when attacked by digital fraud. Everything shatters in devastating imagery. Our fluid, dramatic approach to animation and color gives the viewer emotional dread. Creating these images, and flow is important for the type of narrative we want to communicate. Online fraud means danger.
But then...A green, soothing glow comes forth in the story. It provides relief, a hopeful feeling. This is the introduction of our client's product. It immediately makes us feel better, hopeful even.
In terms of the color palette, we were asked to use the brand's color. Synergizing it with our own story, it provides our main character with a unique look. A glowing sphere of light, representing Worldline's adaptive AI. The sphere reinstates the building-like geometric forms and gives each one of them a protective glow. It's a cathartic sequence, revitalizing the emotion conveyed. Our animation, on par with the soundtrack, brings a crescendo of emotion.
We loved working on this, on this type of narrative. All stories begin with an idea. And the ideas developed along the journey make the story last.
