The following data visualization project is a personal project. My long-term interest in data visualization drives me to do this project.
Endemic species are the main factor to increase the biodiversity in an ecosystem. The selected countries are the top ten countries that have the highest total of endemic species among the indicated taxonomic group. The countries are ordered in descending order.
Definition of terms
Endemics - Species that are known to occur naturally within one country only.
Threatened - Species assessed in any of the three threatened Red List categories (Critically Endangered, Endangered, Vulnerable)

Work flow
I started the data visualization by obtaining the endemic species data from IUCN REDLIST. Then I was inspired by a mandala, which creates a complex geometric figure using limited geometric shapes at different levels. So I create a unique mandala for each selected country.
