Established in 1989, CityParks Foundation is a service organization dedicated to offering programming that encourages New York residents to use and care for their green spaces and local parks. CityParks Play is a central part of the Foundation’s mission, with free sports programs that include instruction, equipment, and coaching to children and seniors.

Everyday Play is one of CityParks' programs. Offered five days per week in the summer, this multi-sport program is free for kids interested in dabbling in the other CityParks activities like golf, tennis, track and field, soccer, and more. In addition, the Foundation helps New Yorkers stay active and socialize through the kids' fitness program Everyday Play. It is open for kids ages eight to 17 and their families. Participants should attend all six weeks of the program, five days per week. Each day they typically practice two different sports in a rotational schedule.
