This photo was taken at Jersey Zoo, through the thick glass of the Lemur enclosure in bright natural light, however I have taken it in a way so that there are no visible reflections. The black background is very strong, which directs all the attention to the main subject. The lemur being black and white really creates an initial focus on the red eye, and then you begin to notice the small details in the fur.
