Where do all those carp come from at Christmas?

The Czech Republic is a pond power, the carp kingdom. And Oldrich Pecha is their king. King of fishermen. It's not like that, but it would be a nice fairy tale, wouldn't it? And why did I choose him as the hero of my story? In Esox fishing, they do it a little differently. Together with Honza Čulík, they work on Biocarp. What is it and why is it important? Biocarp aims to return Czech carp to Czech cookbooks, kitchens and tables. The Czechs and Moravians have it connected only with Christmas and that is a mistake. Freshwater fish are generally healthy, if not healthier than marine ones. There are several reasons why we only have carp for Christmas. Most of what is found in Czech ponds is exported abroad. Oldřich Pecha is trying to change that. He wants people to eat carp, not just at Christmas.
Did you know that there are still two meters of water at the place of fishing? And also that the water for carp is transported clean from the ponds? I do not. I put on the borrowed waders, picked up my two Nikons, and went hunting. You woudn’t know how much mud there is in the pond. I think if you stand there long enough, you won't get out there or you'll become a waterman. Wait, maybe that's how fairy tales are made.

This is definitely how my own started. The story of Mr. Fisherman. Oldřich Pecha from Esox fishing can lead by example to all his colleagues. When I talked to me, it sometimes occurred to me that time had stopped. So far, organic carp is just a concept that is becoming a reality. And maybe it will become our healthy future.
