This project was created for a Symbols & Visual Communication unit. Each student was given 2 civilization characteristics/traits, with which we had to come up with a Civilization. We also had to come up with either a meal, a beverage or a dessert, according to what we were randomly assigned. The characteristics that I was given were 'Outlanders' and 'Tribal' and I had to create a beverage. The Celts Immediately came to mind.
The brief was to create an Infographic, showing how the product is made whilst also reflecting the civilization traits with minimal use of text. I used the celtic ornaments to suggest that the civilisation is a tribe and included the mountain landscape packaging to show that they lived in the mountains. I also wanted to give the infographic an aged look, whilst at the same time being contemporary.
On a different note, I was then asked to use the vectors created for this assignment to be animated into a 45 second video, for a Motion Graphics unit. The animation can be found at the bottom of this page.
