Fjordgard is a display font that resembles some of the Nordic runes aesthetics whilst staying as close as possible to modern and legible letter shapes. This font is upper case only, and it's got a lot to offer: from big variety of alternative shapes, numbers, symbols to wide language support.

The usage of this font is limited only to designer's imagination, but I see it mostly used in package and tattoo design.

For this project I've woodcarved Fjordgard letters and also wrote Icelandic proverb
"Ofter does one desire what one does not need".
|
I did this purposefully, since during the making of this font I was wondering how it would look like carved in wood. The result is satisfying.
