The founders of Outta the Cage (OTC), a dog rescue focused on getting the most at-risk shelter dogs seen and into suitable hands, know data. Like, seriously know data: In their day jobs, they were trailblaizers in big data, specializing in the Venn diagram sweet spot, so to speak, of big data, technology, and business strategy. They also know storytelling. And are keen at evoking a useful sense of brand in all public communications. Ya, we get along great. During COVID, Outta the Cage significantly updated then e-published co-founder Jill Dyche's book about shelter reform technology (she's a recognized thought-leader on the subject). The previous edition predated Outta the Cage's founding. OTC asked me to bring the OTC brand persona to the well-thought-out but previously staid-looking infographics (we also updated some content, and cleaned up some inconsistencies I found — fresh eyes benefit even the most experienced, one reason I so enjoy team-based projects).

I also helped, long ago, come up with the OTC logo concept (another team member finalized), which I later redrew as vector art so it and colorizations of it could more easily be used for branded swag (t-shirts, hats).
