An African Myth of Creation speaks of the first creation being that of the Tree, which flings out the moon, creates man and animal, separates Man-Animal and releases birds and insects from its roots ...
Contemplating the inner spaces of a tree may lead to the Gate of Dreams.
This Baobab type tree reminds one of the harsh struggle every tree has to remain upright and hold on to life through draught and storms, as a link between heaven and earth.

Many layers upon layers, teasing the thick paint with a palette knife, this image slowly came through of two people walking through a rain drenched meadow at sunset, in time to appreciate the afterglow of the day.
In anticipation of visiting dancers to Cape Town, these figures showed themselves in the twists and turns of colour playing across the canvas.
Another image of the Tree of Creation in African Myths, where Man is created out of the Tree after it has flung out the Moon, and birds and insects flow from its roots.
The Creation Tree takes on a new meaning with Eve dreaming her own creation dreams within the folds of the trunk. The woman's outlines were taken from a drawing of a live model during a drawing session. In the session she lay on her side, now she is held upright, while orbs of thought polinate the world.
Seldom do we allow the vibrant earth to speak, and here it is given full reign.
Playing with orange and various shades of blue and yellow turing into a range of greens, this amazing image of Forest Folk emerged, with a stream running through the centre, dogs and pigs running about, roots of trees birthing new figures and the Forest Guardians flooding the area with light.
WIth Blue cradling yellow and warming towards orange where the colours meet, figures emerged in this meditative image where a community mingles in harmony. Some obeservers claim this looks like a Protea ... what do you think?
