Applying custom photos to texturing a 3d model
This work was created to test out how custom photos will work out in texturing a realistic 3d model.

There are tons of resources with pictures of skin available for purchase, and for most cases I find them fine, but I've never been fully satisfied with them. I felt like I got limited to the shooting angle, detail focus, color and many other restrictions I had experienced. So, I decided to create my own. An ordinary Iphone camera didn't work well, so I experienced with Canon 5d mark 4 camera which can shoot up to 6k resolution. Which is appropriate if you want to create a detailed pore texture pattern for close up renders.

I projected photos in Mari, then I had to work on the displace texture in Zbrush. You can see what results I achieved by using just photo projection and photo+alpha sculpting in Zbrush.
Personally, I find that just photo bashing is not enough, you will need to work on it manually afterwards.

My next goal is to try out custom 3d scanning and animating the hand movement with skin deformations.
