is one of the most ancient sciences.
This 500-star banknote issued by Astrobank is dedicated to her.
The main background images of the face and reverse of the banknote are made with special rasters (developed by I. Maresin)
As such an image of the reverse, an engraving was used in which the ancient Greek astronomer Hipparchus of Nicaea observes the sky in Alexandria through a telescope. True, there is no evidence that Hipparchus visited Alexandria, and the telescope, as you know,
was invented much later.

эмитированная Астробанком.
Основные фоновые изображения лица и оборота банкноты выполнены специальными растрами (разработка И. Маресина)
В качестве такого изображения оборота использована гравюра, на которой древнегреческий астроном Гиппарх Никейский наблюдает в телескоп небо в Александрии. Правда, никаких свидетельств того, что Гиппарх посещал Александрию, нет, а телескоп, как известно, был изобретён значительно позднее.
