This mobile app was created for the British healthcare system during the COVID-19 pandemic, as a solution to diminish patient use of the waiting room touch screen.
This allows the patients to have greater access and visibility over their appointments at a hospital or medical clinic.





Persona spectrum

Due to the broad possibilities of users for this mobile app, I chose to draw inspiration from Microsoft's Inclusive Design toolkit and develop a persona spectrum. This highlighted the opportunities and ways this project could evolve into in its future.





User journey map

This project's pilot was developed for a kiosk-type touch-screen device located within a waiting room of a hospital/clinic. Upon mapping the exisiting user journey, I found the check-in system to be disjointed, offering the users a false understanding of where the check-in process ended.
The previous interface indicated to the users that their check-in process ended after PART A, when in practicality they would only be acknowledged as "checked-in" after PART B
