BALANCED DUALITY

Project Name: Balanced Duality
Location: Al Muhaisnah 4
Plot: 22,784m2

Project Theme

Born and brought up in Dubai, my relation with icons is normal. Like many cities in the world icons have helped to make the city and the country on the global stage. While there are icons that have helped to Dubai to make its mark. It is the role of icons that I came to question in the study of the concept of Balanced Duality. Dubai boasting an abundance amount of memorable buildings and structures seems to lose the mark in its functionality. In studying the concept of Balanced Duality, which is an equilibrium of how things should be. The Idea of the perfect balance.

Icons have helped the city of Dubai, bringing in Tourism. However, Icons have not been able to help the residents that have settled in the city. The project of Balanced Duality explores a functional icon or in this case an anti-icon that enhances the experience of residents and visitors.

The Project location is located in Al Muhaisnah which is generally not where icons are located. Thus, the main aim of the project is to create a space for people that are in the Al Muhaisnah community to enhance their experience in Dubai.
