Geldingadalir at Fagradalsfjall Eruption │ Iceland Photo Gallery
Geldingadalir are deep valleys with a wide lawn on the Reykjanes peninsula, near Fagradalsfjall. There is a small hill (well it was there) on the field and it is said that Ísólfur at Skála is buried there. He wanted to be buried in the valley where his sheep were so well off.
On the evening of March 19, 2021, an eruption began from a fissure in the valleys, the first eruption on the Reykjanes peninsula in 800 years.
