Weather Conversion Retouching

One of the most challenging things a high-end retoucher can do is to composite photo-realistic weather conversions using nothing but photographic sources and an expert knowledge of light, color, and of course, Photoshop. Luckily, we have a passion for creating digital art that ensures your product will be presented beautifully and realistically to drive sales.

In this weather conversion retouching series, the client wanted to show off the all-wheel-drive cornering as seen in the country roads, the aggressive acceleration as seen on the urban streets, and the car's ability to handle rain and snow with ease. On a couple of the shots, we were able to get rain (rain truck) and snow (snow machine) but not all of them. The first 3 and last 2 on this page were retouched, from sunny to rainy and snowy with just 2D sources, filters and illustration. The client was so happy with the images that most were approved by round 1 or 2. (Automotive & Lifestyle Photography by Jeff Ludes)
